5 Reasons Why Work From Home Careers Will Embody Our Future
1. Work from anywhere. With today’s technology, you can work from anywhere. Your work from home careers can be conducted at your local coffee shop, friends or family’s home or at the airport. How many times have you been at an airport and people are working diligently on their computers? When I was travelling to NY recently, I was at the airport for 3 hours. Those were some of the most productive 3 hours ever. No. 1 – I was working because I wanted to. No. 2- It’s my own Work From Home careers. yes. careers (multiple sources of income) No. 3 – Nobody was telling me what to do!
2. Day Care is too expensive. Back in the day when I was commuting to work, I had one child and day care was costing $800 a month. When I had our second child, there was no break..it was going to be $1600 a month. I didn’t even put gas in the car yet to get to my day care provider and then the train station. The other expenses of clothing, meals and my monthly train ticket. (at the time I lived in Connecticut and commuted to NYC) My decision was easy..to leave my house it was going to be a minimum of a negative $2,000 at the start of every month! There has to come that time when you’ve just had enough. It doesn’t make financial sense.
3. Commuting. More and more people are hating their commute and its massive cost of gas just to get to work. Or in my case I had a monthly train ticket that cost over $250 each and every month. And the time it takes you from your family. I knew I had to search for a work from home career.
4. Job security and freedom. The stress factor of wondering if you are next on the chopping block is tremendous. Being in corporate america for years had its pros but it certainly had its cons. More and more people want to become self reliant and not have to lean on corporate america and your employers. People are searching for better control of their work schedules.
5. Tax break – I’m not a CPA or tax attorney but I will tell you there are many benefits to having a work from home careers.
Make a plan to Have Your Own Work From Home Careers. Do your research is Home Based business the answer you are looking for? Work from home opportunities/careers are becoming more the norm with the high unemployment rate and a stagnant job market. There are many opportunities to chose from but if you don’t explore your options you’ll never change your destination.

I left my work as a psychologist in a public psychiatric hospital because the support from administrators was painfully misguided. It was just after our daughter was born. I had started training as a success coach before I left and have been doing that since then from home. I’ve been the stay-at-home dad since, and I can say that it has given me fulfillment I never would have had the opportunity to experience.
As you mentioned, there are those things I miss from working directly with others, such as the camaraderie, automatic agenda, and regular income. But I have been unable to sustain any desire to return to that kind of hectic, and often painful work life.
